* Bad Day
Where is the moment we needed at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on
You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day (Oh.. Holiday..)
Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong
So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
Had a bad day (x4)

We chose the musician because his songs are so famous that nearly everyone has heard them. And, bad day, as his most popular one should be introduced!!

Bad day's lyrics describe most modern people's stress in daily lives. And besides, it also encourages people to be strong and everything will be fine in the end. Listening to his song, we not only feel released and also gain our strength back. Its melody is relaxed, and the lyrics are easy to memorize. Danniel's voice is clear and have its own specialty. Whenever we heard his songs, we cannot help but want to sing along with it.

THE BAND BON JOVI

"It's my life~~~It's now or never~~I ain't gonna live forever~~"

It's maybe a common experience for everybody to have listen to this song and also the singer of this is well-known.

Do you know who I am going to introduce?

Yeah! It's Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi is a hard rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey. Fronted by lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi, the group originally achieved large-scale success in the 1980s. Most people will consider that Bon jovi is a singer but in fact he isn't that lonely.Bon Jovi formed in 1983 with lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, and drummer Tico Torres.Other than the departure of Alec John Such in 1994 (which pared the lineup down to a quartet), the lineup has remained the same for the past 23 years.

After two moderately successful albums in 1984 and 1985, the band scored big with Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988), which sold a combined 19 million copies in the U.S. alone, charted eight Top Ten hits, and launched the band into global superstardom. After non-stop touring, the band went on hiatus after the New Jersey Tour in 1990, during which time Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released successful solo albums. In 1992, the band returned with the double platinum Keep the Faith and has since created a string of platinum albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, also expanding their musical horizons, combining rock with such genres as pop, adult contemporary, and country. The band has also been credited with inspiring the MTV Unplugged series with their famous sit-down acoustic performance at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

In 2006, the band won a Grammy for best Country Collaboration for "Who Says You Can't Go Home" with Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland and also became the first rock band to reach #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart with the same song. They have also been nominated twice for the smash hit "It's My Life" and two songs from the album Bounce, "Misunderstood" and "Everyday".

It's My Life" became the most successful Bon Jovi single, hitting #1 across many countries and most importantly, becoming a symbol of band's longevity as they prevailed through many different changes in the mainstream rock scene with admirable success. It was credited with reviving their career after they came off a five year break, during which they each pursued individual solo careers. It was also credited with introducing the veteran band to an entirely new, younger audience.

It's My Life lyrics

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

[Chorus:]
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks

[Chorus:]
It's my life
And it's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life

Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

About The Song

When You Believe(電影「埃及王子」的主題曲)

-Duet with Whitney Houston(惠妮休斯頓)

"When You Believe" is a song originally composed by Stephen Schwartz, and later refurbished by writer-producer Babyface, as the theme to the film The Prince of Egypt (see The Prince of Egypt (OST)). It was the main theme of the film and was released as a single by American singers Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston as the soundtrack's first single in 1998 (see 1998 in music); it was also the first single from Houston's album My Love Is Your Love and the second from Carey's compilation album #1's. It has also been comfirmed that "I Still Believe" will be the X Factor 2007 Official Single.

The protagonists of this ballad recall tough times that have them questioning their faith: they have prayed for many nights to God but those prayers seem to remain unanswered, and they wonder if they are wasting their time. Nevertheless, they realize that although times may be difficult, "there can be miracles when you believe" in God.

"When You Believe" won the 1999 Academy Award for "Best Original Song" and was nominated for a Golden Globes for "Best Original Song". It also received a Golden Satellite Award nomination for "Best Original Song in a Motion Picture". It was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals", losing to "I Still Have That Other Girl" by Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello. As Carey is part Latin, Houston and Carey were also nominated for "Outstanding Performance of a Song for a Feature Film" at the ALMA Awards.

The single's video was filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music[1] and shows Houston and Carey in a dark studio accented by Egyptian settings, backdrops, and scenes inspired by The Prince of Egypt. The video ends as the room is illuminated, and the two singers are joined by a large choir. A few variations of the song exist, including an extended version with a longer intro and bridge which can be found on The Prince of Egypt soundtrack, a television track, and an instrumental version.

Genre: R&B/Pop

Lyrics

When You Believe (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGRgm9ZHG3A)

Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood

Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long
Before we knew we could

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

In this time of fear
When prayers so often prove in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds
To swiftly flown away

Yet now I'm standing here
My heart's so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

They don't always happen when you ask
(Oh)
And it's easy to give in to your fears
(Oh...Ohhhh)
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way straight through the rain
Small but still, resilient voice
Says love is the relief
(Ohhh)

There can be miracles
(Miracles)
When you believe
(Lord, when you believe)
Though hope is frail
(Though hope is frail)
It's hard to kill
(Hard to kill, Ohhh)
Who know what miracles,
you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will(somehow,
somehow, somehow)
somehow you will
You will when you believe

You will when you
You will when you believe
Just believe...in your heart
Just believe
You will when you believeeeeeeeeeee

Green day was formed in East Bay California 1989. Members are Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocals) Mike Drint (bass) and the latter added drummer Tre Cool.

Prior to their big contract with Reprise, these three musicians with tattoo all over their bodies were signed to the independent punk label Lookout! Records .The band's lifeful music, unique style and underground success led a wave of interest from the major label Reprise. By 1994, having Rob Cavallo being their producer, Green Day's first album Dookie was released and the albums were selling well. It became a mainstream hit. In the following year, insomniac was released, but it was more of a sad piece.

Two more albums Nimrod (1997) and Warning (2000) were released followed by Insomniac and two live concert albums Bowling Bowling Parking Parking and Foot in Mouth were released during that period. Foot Mouth was special edited and produced by Japanese record. This shows us that the band's performance was approved internationally.

No more tours for green day until The Pop Disaster Tour (a united tour with Blink-182) in 2002. The tour lasted 3 months long starting from April visiting 5 cities in North America.

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame
The ones who died without a name
Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!)
And bleed,
the company lost the war today
I beg to dream and differ
from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side
Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around the score of men (Hey!)
A gag,

A plastic bag on a monument
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
"The representative from California has the floor"
Zieg Heil to the president gas man
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause,
just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
This is our lives on holiday

To the most people, "LinKin Park" is just one of the rock-and-roll band that makes noisy music. However, as far as We are concerned, it's not exactly a typical rock band as same as in the past. The six members: Chester, Mike, Rob, Brad, Joseph and Phoenix who come from different background have various opinions on music. Their songs, therefore, are presented in many kinds of styles. Such as heavey metal, hip-hop, electron music and so on.

In addition, the reason why we like "LinKin Park" is because it notices some important phenomenons that other music groups usually ignore. Recently, "LinKin Park" has been awaring of many vital issues of human beings, including global warming, poverty and starving, racial discrimination and some teenagers' problems in their lives.

The song "Numb" is a story which describes a teenager's ambivalence. The heavy beat from the drum and the sorrowful melody show a teenager's fragile spirit. Moreover, the lyrics of this song tell us that the young boy is eagerly finging a girl who he belongs to.

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure, of walking in your shoes
Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow
Every step I take is another mistake to you
Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
I've become so tired, so much more aware
I've becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Can't you see that you're smothering me?
Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control
Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart, right in front of you
Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow
Every step I take is another mistake to you
Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow
And every second I waste is more than I can take
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
I've become so tired, so much more aware
I've becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
And I know I may end up failing too
But I know, you were just like me
With someone disappointed in you

GP1 - U1587 - Fantastic 6

We all agreed to introduce the song "Eyes On Me". It is the ballad that serves as the theme of the game Final Fantasy VIII. It was performed by Chinese singer Faye Wong.

"Eyes On Me" was the first song in video game history to win an award at the 14th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards, where it won "Song of the Year (Western Music)" in 1999. Lilian and Peter of this group had played the game "Final Fantasy VIII" before. They recommended this song and finally we all agreed that it is a good song and decided to introduce it to all of you.

The song has a slow beat which is so sweet and comfortable to listen to. The lyrics are beautifully written, which describes the love between Squall Leonhart and Rinoa Heartillythe main protagonists of Final Fantasy VIII. The melody is so soft and tender...and together with the impressive voice of Faye Wong, had deeply touched the heart of every player of the game.

Lyrics:

Eyes On Me

Vocal:Faye Wong

Music:Nobuo Uematsu

Lyrics:Kako Someya

Arranger:Shiro Hamaguchi

Whenever sang my songs

On the stage, on my own

Whenever said my words

Wishing they would be heard

I saw you smiling at me

Was it real or just my fantasy

You'd always be there in the corner

Of this tiny little bar

My last night here for you

Same old songs, just once more

My last night here with you?

Maybe yes, maybe no

I kind of liked it your way

How you shyly placed your eyes on me

Oh, did you ever know?

That I had mine on you

Darling, so there you are

With that look on your face

As if you're never hurt

As if you're never down

Shall I be the one for you

Who pinches you softly but sure

If frown is shown then

I will know that you are no dreamer

So let me come to you

Close as I wanted to be

Close enough for me

To feel your heart beating fast

And stay there as I whisper

How I loved your peaceful eyes on me

Did you ever know

That I had mine on you

Darling, so share with me

Your love if you have enough

Your tears if you're holding back

Or pain if that's what it is

How can I let you know

I'm more than the dress and the voice

Just reach me out then

You will know that you're not dreaming

We are Fantastic 6!

We have 6 members -- Lilian, Trent, Terence, Johnny, Peter, Miquelina;

And 6 characteristics -- Friendly, Fancy, Funny, Fabulous, Fascinating and Fashionable!

Part I

About the Bluemen performance
A. Transcribe the complete text.

Your attention please

Thank you for choosing earth as your planetary vehicle

We hope you enjoy the many wonderful features of this planet as you hurtle through the cosmos

Please note, however, that in the event of continued inaction in the face of global warming

Your seat cushion can be use as a flotation device

Also, please take a moment to locate this planet's emergency exits

As you can see, there aren't any

Earth, to America

Can you hear?

Sending out a message, loud and clear

Can you hear?

B. What do you think of this performance?
I think that the bluemen performance is a kind of alarming of the environment protection. Its' about time to raise up to save this earth. With modern technology like cars, motorbikes, and factory producing the pollutions, humanbeings has hurt the earth badly since the 19th century. So we could not go on our destruction. We need to do something to change the world. First, try to use the air conditioner less; it's very healthy for us to sweat in summer. Second, read daily news online instead of reading newspapers, in this way we could cut fewer trees everyday. Third, no matter what kind of the resource, we all need to cherish it. Don't waste anything!!!

Part II

About global citizenship
A. In what ways do you think you are already a global citizen?

I think when I born on earth I already became a global citizen.
B. How can you become a better global citizen?

Be a global citizen, I should care what is happening around the world and what can I do to help or improve is plant I live on. In this way, I think I can become a better global citizen.
