A passage About A Creative Person

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Born in1756 in Salzburg, the capital of the sovereign Archbishopric of Salzburg, in what is now Austria, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart started to play the piano at the age of three. By the time he was five, he started playing the violin and the pipe organ and could compose little pieces. When he was six, he showed his prodigies by going on several trips with his father and his sister touring in Europe. It is the time that he met Johann Christian Bach and Schubert Johann and learned composing symphony. He composed his first symphony at the age of eight and wrote his first opera at twelve. However, as he grew older, people lost interests in his born to be musical talent. Mozart married Canstanza Weber in 1782 and composed so many pieces that earned considerable money living happy decades in their early marriage life. But the couple didn't manage their money well and during the same time Mozart's health went straight down and so did his wife. It was in his last decade that he wrote so many famous opera such as The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni. In 1791, a stranger came to knock Mozart's door and asked him for composing requiem and he regarded the man as a messenger of his death. He died in December in the same year, leaving his requiem unfinished. His federal held in haste. Nobody knew where he was buried.

B. What do you think of this performance?

I can't express my feelings exactly. The strong beats drew my attention and I couldn't help but watch it again and again in order to figure out what the three blueman wanted people know. After so many times watching the performance, although I still can't understand some words, I thought that I understand a little bit of message they tried to send it to us. Words shwon in the middle block really made me thought of the movie"An Inconvenient Truth". I often have the question why so many administrators don't stop their verbal battles and give priority to facing the global warming problem. Isn't the problem clear enough? Or isn't it serious enough? Sometimes I'm angry at them but immediately I know that the anger is useless. The last twenty seconds really touched me and made an impression on me. The chimney emitted chemical fumes, a large part of iceberg was broken. And again, the emission from the chimney and the broken of iceberg. Harmful fumes are continuous emitted and pollute the earth and do great damages to the atmosphere! I don't know how to specifically describe my feelings. I have only one word to say－HEARTBREAKING. The unusual increment of greenhouse gas rises the water level and tsunamis and hurricanes caused the more serious aftermath. Everytime I see such news, I take so much pity on the people lives in the disaster areas. "Can't someone help them?" I almost yell. There're still something that I don't know the reason why the blueman on the right side wore snorkel and why the performance ended up with all things concentrate on one point near Australia. Is the point being the water hemisphere?

Part II :About global citizenship

A.In what ways do you think you are already a global citizen?

I take buses to school rather than riding on motorcycle and I do recycling instead of just dumping bottles or papers in the general trash. Besides, I usually put a small plastic bag in my bag to put things I bought and use the same bag again and again.

B. How can you become a better global citizen?

Perhaps I can only make a very small effect on the earth, but I'll keep doing recycling and take care of global news more frequently and more actively. I think that will really help to the lifetime of earth.

It has been a whole week since I finished my CEEP.
However, I have done NOTHING! Oh, that's so unbelievable to me.
Professor Tsao is right. It's time for me to revise it more realistic.

First, I'd like to spend two workdays and weekends reading ADVANCED.
And I want to read a book written by Alan Poe and a book my sister suggests me to read.(She said she'll give me the answer as soon as she can.)
Moreover, I'm going to pay great attention in English class X to learn some tips for figuring out main points and asking wh-questions.

Second, I'll choose one evening watching "News In English in 民視.( http://englishnews.ftv.com.tw/index.asp)"
I'll preview Summit1 because I almost can't understand the whole dialogue we listened to in class last week.
And I can nearly understand the dialogue we listened to on the website in class last week, too.
I only heard of strings of words spoken too quickly for me to differentiate every word or even every sentence.
(I delete watching CNN because I can not find it on my TV!
It's covered by another channel for reasons I don't know.
By the way, I also can't find NHK on my TV. What happened to my TV?)
Furthermore, I plan to read some news on New York Times in 聯合報.

Third, I'll grab every chance to talk with Coelho, the trainee from Brazil.
And I would like to join English Corner on Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm.
Also, I'll be more active in discussion during class times.

Last but not least, I hope I can pass GEPT 中高級 after carrying out the plan.

After two and half monthes, my English proficiency decreased a lot.
I planned to regain and polish it by following steps.
I hope that I can really be diligent enough to carry them out.

First, read ADVANCED, my senior high school English teacher encouraged us to subsribe for one year, everyday and try not to consult a dictionary when facing words I don't understand. Furthermore, read some literature written by Edgar Allan Poe to increase my adjectives. I heard from my second older sister that no one can compete with him in using specific adjectives.

Second, find some days regularly waching CNN or News in English in 民視 to improve my English listening proficiency and read New York Time in 聯合 newspaper every Monday to increase my vocabulary in news English. I think that knowing what happens in the world is also important and related to me.

Third, join an English Corner practicing my Eglish speaking proficiency. Also, discuss with friends during class discussion time was included. Moerover, I've joined a club called AIESEC, an international club. Maybe I can communicate with the trainee who comes from Brazil as often as possible.

The last, exchange experience with my second older sister who majors in Engish in NTUT and also with my friends. Perhaps they'll give me some advice for improving my English proficiency more effectively and more efficiently.

After one-year study, I hope that I can pass the GEPT 中高級.
That's my comprehensive English enhancement plan for 07 to 08 school year.
